SCORING SUMMARYGrand Elk Let the games begin at Grand Elk. This round consisted of Nick and Dan trading wins. JJ and Sheebz couldn't do much of anything. Nick and Dan were solid throughout the first round. At the end of the first round, it was obvious that Sheebz and JJ would have to come alive to make this more than a two person race. The low round of HSI 4 was an 85 shot by Nick at this course. Fossil TraceSheebz and JJ tried their best to make a run on this afternoon, but Nick was relentless. He posted 21 points on the board after posting 26 in the morning round. Sheebz and JJ could only post 10 and 8, respectively. Dan faltered in the afternoon round and held onto second place by a very slim margin. Nick had a solid lead and the other three were bunched together SolVistaAt SolVista it was time for Sheebz to cool off and JJ turned it on. Dan came alive as well. Of course, Nick kept chugging along, allowing for only a minor drop-off from earlier rounds. After the third round, JJ and Dan were separated by only one point for second place. Sheebz played himself out of the tournament while he posted a goose-egg to the scoreboard. He was a distant fourth place. Pole Creek 1The first round at Pole Creek might be interesting at the beginning. Several holes carried over into this round, and JJ or Dan would have to do something very big to catch Nick. JJ started the round trailing Nick by 32 points, but he had cut that lead to only 17 points after only 7 holes. It was obvious that Nick was becoming a little nervous. However, Nick regained his compsure and built the lead back up to 34 points by the end of the fourth round. At this point he had wrapped up the trophy. There really wasn't any competition for any position at this point. Pole Creek 2JJ had figured his game out and posted 17 points in the final round. It wasn't enough to overtake Nick's lead, but should give some confidence to JJ. In the last three rounds of HSI4, JJ outscored Nick 57 to 46. However, Nick was just too dominating in the first two rounds, and he easily defended his title of HSI champion. JJ finished second, Dan finished third, and Sheebz finished at the bottom.
