BJ's Classic

Nick had decided to move to Houston to work for Lennar and this was his trip to find a place to live. He flew to Dallas on August 31 and he rode with the Schiebers to Houston the next day. The entire family went along so this was the first time that Lisa, Wesley, or Holly got to see Lindsey. Nick, JJ, and Sheebz then played golf every morning from Saturday through Monday. Monday was Labor Day so nobody had to work.
The first day tee time was at South Shore Harbour,
JJ's home course. JJ took advantage by gaining an early and large
lead. Everybody scored really well, with Nick shooting the low
score of 79 with a one over par 37 on the back nine. The average
for the group was 82, by far the best average we've had as a group.
That evening we went out to eat at a restaurant/brewery calls BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse and had a great time with lots to drink. So the next morning was a rough start with nobody feeling too well. We played again at South Shore Harbour. Sheebz took advantage and matched Nick's 79 from the day before. On the very last hole Nick and JJ both birdied to carry over the final four holes to the next day.
On Monday, Labor Day, we went to Magnolia Creek for
the final round of the week. It was pretty obvious that whoever
won the first hole of the day would be hard to catch because of all the
carry over holes from the day before. The first
and second holes were pushed with bogey. The third hole was pushed
with pars. Then on the fourth hole Sheebz scored par with Nick
just missing his par putt and scoring bogey. Sheebz had such a big
lead that he couldn't be caught. Nick made a run at second place
on the back nine, but just didn't have enough holes to get there.
Nick got his apartment and will be moving to Houston in the next month or so. We expect that we'll get to play golf together a little more often now that everybody will be living in the State of Texas. This concludes our first ever HSI non-major.
